I’m already stocking up on treats for the holidays, which means a lot of fun treats from Aldi. Yikes—because right before Thanksgiving, Aldi announced a recall of two types of Choceur Holiday Bark. Here's how to identify this potentially life-threatening treat.

What You Need To Know

On November 26, 2025, an Aldi supplier recalled its Choceur Cookie Butter Holiday Bark because it contains undeclared pecans, and Choceur Pecan, Cranberry & Cinnamon Holiday Bark because it contains undeclared wheat allergen. Both products were sold exclusively at Aldi.

The recall began after shoppers discovered that Cookie Butter Holiday Bark had been packed in Pecan, Cranberry & Cinnamon Holiday Bark bags, leading to undeclared wheat. Pecan, Cranberry & Cinnamon Holiday Bark had been packed in Cookie Butter Holiday Bark bags, leading to undeclared pecans. Both allergens could trigger a serious or even life-threatening reaction.

This product is an Aldi exclusive, and a press release from the company says the products were distributed and sold at select Aldi stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, District of Columbia, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia.

If you bought this holiday bark at Aldi, check your lot number and expiration date, regardless of where you bought it.

What To Do if You Bought This Holiday Bark

If you have a wheat or pecan allergy, throw the product away immediately or return it to your Aldi for a refund. If you don't have an allergy, this product is safe to eat—but know that the bark in the package will not match the bark on the package!
