I have expensive tastes, but thankfully, I also love finding a good deal and spending time online looking for dupes. For the past two years, I've been eyeing Pottery Barn's spendy Icon Drinking Glasses. They're super cute, no doubt, but no matter how charming they are, the thought of spending $56 on four holiday-themed glasses always feels a bit too much for me.

I've always admired the glasses from afar. That is, until I took my usual budget Dollar Tree run where I spotted some very similar festive rocks glasses with the same vibe as those Pottery Barn beauties I'd been coveting—for only $1.50 each. To put it in perspective, a set of four from Pottery Barn costs $56, while four of Dollar Tree's Assorted Christmas Rocks Glasses only set me back $6. That's a 90% savings, which meant I could stock my entire holiday bar and gift sets to friends, and still have money left over for the good eggnog.

Dollar Tree's Assorted Christmas Rocks Glasses

  • Price: $1.50 for one 10.5-ounce rocks glass
  • Why I Love It: They bring the same festive sparkle as the pricey Pottery Barn version—without compromising my holiday budget.

Why I Love Dollar Tree's Assorted Christmas Rocks Glasses

When you compare the Dollar Tree glass at $1.50 to the Pottery Barn glass at roughly $14 each, the savings are astronomical. And really, that's what makes the thrill of the hunt worth it. While the Pottery Barn version is handcrafted with thicker, textured soda-lime glass, Dollar Tree's version is made with a more casual, machine-made glass. The DT glasses still nail the essential holiday icon aesthetic, but for such a significant price difference, I'm willing to adjust my vibe a bit.

Putting the price aside for a moment, they're just plain fun. They're cute, cheerful, and come in three Christmas-themed designs, like gingerbread people, candy cane stripes, and snowmen. And with a 10.5-ounce capacity, they rival the Pottery Barn's at only half an ounce smaller.

They especially come to life when you pour something colorful in them. I'm already thinking about sipping a gorgeously colored Pomegranate Paloma from one, enjoying an easy, three-ingredient Goldrush, or savoring a classic rum-and-eggnog (obviously).

They'll also be great for showcasing holiday spritzes, iced coffee with cold foam, and my usual crispy Diet Coke or sparkling water on ice. I can even see making single-serving layered desserts in them, like a five-minute Blender Chocolate Mousse, mini no-bake Banana Pudding, or my favorite—individual Classic Tiramisu.

They would also make a lovely host gift. I already plan to gift a set of four with a cute silicone ice mold—the total will still be under $10. Although not an exact match, the Dollar Tree versions share the same playful charm and many of the design elements I love in the Pottery Barn version. I know several friends and family members who will love them and understand the look I'm going for.

For anyone looking to create an Instagram-worthy holiday tablescape on a realistic budget, these glasses are a must-have. I know these sorts of holiday dupes sell out at the speed of light, and a little retail urgency is definitely part of the fun! If you're into this, "look for less" and see them at your local Dollar Tree, grab them. You deserve a designer holiday look without a bill that makes you stress over every clink.
