In my mind, M&M's and the holiday season belong together. I remember finding candy cane-shaped plastic tubes full of candy in my Christmas stockings as a kid, and as an adult, I eagerly use them to add color—and chocolate, of course—to my peanut butter cookie bars. This season, though, forget about the red-and-green blend. M&M's debuted a brand-new color combination.
M&M’s Winter Blend
- The Product: The Winter Blend has the M&M's you know and love in “frosty white and blizzard blues,” according to a release from Mars.
- Why I’m Excited: This chocolatey treat is perfect for baking winter wonderland M&M’s cookies.
Simply Recipes / M&M's
Upon opening a bag of the new M&M's, I instantly got Frozen vibes—and a bunch of ideas for mixing up my holiday baking. The hues in the bag include snowy white, a pale frosty blue, and a darker blue candy that brings the whole look together.
Perhaps instead of using red M&M's to create Rudolph’s nose on a cookie, I’ll use these frosty white candies to outline a delicate snowflake, or combine them with the blue hues to recreate a snowy landscape. Or, more realistically, I’ll toss ‘em in a bowl with cookie dough for an icy twist on the classic M&M's cookie. That recipe is a staple on my holiday table.
It's also nice to have a holiday color palette that isn't red and green for anyone not celebrating Christmas. While they aren't branded that way, the blue-toned M&M's are ideal for Hanukkah treats. Of course, you’ll still be able to find the red-and-green M&M's mix if you want to keep it traditional.
Where To Find the New M&M's
M&M's Winter Blend is currently available at grocery stores everywhere. It's $4.99 for a 10-ounce bag, which is the "Sharing Size." If you’ve got any picky eaters in your bunch, rest assured—these M&M's are the same as the original milk chocolate candies, just decked out in a new color scheme for the holiday season.
I’ll admit it—after all the stress and strife that 2025 has brought, I’m leaning into the cheer of the holiday season. I want to fully indulge my love of holiday treats, and as such, this festive new M&M’s mix has me seriously excited to break out the butter and cookie sheets. I plan to make several batches of candy-packed cookies this year!
