Experience
Born and bred in California, food has always been central to Jessie’s life, whether it be because she is exploring the next new restaurant, whipping up avocado chocolate mousse, farming via the biodynamic calendar, or brainstorming ways to reduce food waste. Jessie has acquired a unique skill set, obtained from both her educational background in public health and nutrition science, and her work experience as a public health consultant, researcher, and educator, and restaurant chef. She currently manages chef partnerships at a food recovery non-profit. She has worked at various industry-leading restaurants including, Tartine and Gjusta. She received her B.A. in Public Health and Master’s in Public Health Nutrition at UC Berkeley. While she is not working, she enjoys trial running, yoga, cooking, and backpacking.
