This New Aldi Find Is a Must for Holiday Baking

One of the most-used items I received as a wedding gift was a cooling rack. It was paired with a box of gourmet cookies—such a great gift!

Although at the time I didn’t think much of the cooling rack, it has since become a much-beloved kitchen tool. Once I started using it, it upped my cookie-making game. Since my husband is a cookie monster, I make a lot of cookies and use the cooling rack every time. It lives on my kitchen counter.

The only hitch is that it’s a single cooling rack—a full batch of cookies doesn’t fit on the rack. Fortunately, I recently found the perfect solution at Aldi. If you're baking cookies this holiday season, you need to get the new Crofton three-pack cooling racks.

What’s So Great About the Crofton Cooking Racks

The Crofton cooling rack set costs only $8.99, or about $3 per rack. Similar cooling racks at Williams Sonoma or Crate and Barrel cost at least $15 for a single rack, or more. Aldi also has a Crofton cookie sheet and cooling rack combo that costs only $12.99.

When you leave your cookies on a hot sheet pan, they continue to cook and sometimes even burn. If you bake cookies, you know that they turn out so much better if you cool them on a rack as soon as they come out of the oven, so they don't burn and they cool down quickly and evenly.

The set of three cooling racks means that you'll have enough space for large batches of Christmas cookies. This set can hold anywhere from four to six dozen cookies, depending on their size.

These cooling racks aren’t just good for cookies—they’re fantastic for all types of baked goods. I use my cooling rack to cool cakes so steam doesn't get trapped underneath, giving you a soggy bottom. Ditto for muffins, biscuits, and breads.
